After my meeting with Mike I was through for today. I decided to head over to Tire Kingdom to get a new tire for my car. I called Q on the way.

“Hello.” He answered on the first ring and I laughed to myself.

“Q, I was just calling you back because I said I would. I’m headed to Tire kingdom to get a new tire.”

“Why you need a new tire? What’s wrong with your tires? Your car ain’t old enough to need new tires.”

“Yeah I know. Somebody slashed my tire at the court house today.”

“What do you mean somebody slashed your tires? Do you know who that somebody is?”

“Q if I knew who did it then I would be trying to do something about it. I don’t know who did it. I guess it’s the same person that been sending me threating messages. Whoever it is left me a note on my window shield. They have also been calling my phone and sending me text messages.”

“Neicee!” He yelled my name so loud I jumped. “Why the fuck is you just now telling me this bullshit? Somebody is threating your ass and you ain’t got shit to say. I’m putting one of my boys on you at all times until we figure out what the fuck is going on.”

“I don’t want any of your boys tailing me. I can handle myself. Why are you acting like you so concerned with me now? Get one of your boys to watch out for Leeka ass, because when I see her I’m gone fuck her up, and I don’t give a damn about her being pregnant. While you at it, get one of your boys to watch your back too,” I hung up the phone on his dumb ass. I hate him.

I pulled into Tire Kingdom. When I pulled in all the men was rushing to my car to assist me.

“Hi, I’m Bruce.” He stuck his hand out to introduce himself.

I had already seen his name on his uniform. I told Bruce what I needed and I walked into the customer lounge. I went to the soda machine and got myself a ginger ale. I hadn’t really been feeling good lately. My stomach was queasy. I sat down in a chair and checked my emails on my Blackberry. It was a bunch of potential clients: some asking me about my fees and some asking me for advice. I replied to the emails and put my phone back in the case.

Bruce walked up to me and told me my car was ready.

“Somebody must really hate you.” He made the comment while looking at my slashed tire.

“Yeah I got some haters walking around here. I guess that mean I’m doing something right.” I said as I grabbed my keys and got in my car.
